From Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, My real name is Andrew Stevens. A Live looping, one man band, playing covers from the 60’s-90’s (mostly), covering the rock, soul, funk, and folk genres. Upbeat, fun, and sometimes silly. When I cover songs, I describe it as a “version” rather than a strict “cover”, because I often play it a bit different from the original. Favourite groups to cover: Bill Withers, Neil Young, The White Stripes, Gorillaz, The Beatles, and even AC/DC. I also toss in my own songs when I can get away with it.
I play real life instruments and use this device called a "looping station". I record sounds in real time that start repeating back to me, and I push triggers that control things starting/stopping. It creates a "full band" sound, even though it's just one person, which I think is cool. Using this looping station helps me create sounds with my electric guitar, percussion instruments, and my voice.
